Admission and Registration Information

Admission

All attendees must purchase an entry admission to be permitted into the venue. The following count as an entry admission:

Mainstage Registration

Those who register for a mainstage event get all perks from General Admission. Competitors will not have to purchase the separate general admission.

In order to compete in mainstage tournaments, competitors must purchase the following registration for the game competitors wish to compete in:

Side Event Registration

In order to compete in our side event selection, competitors must pay the side event's entry fee at the time of registration.

All side events will open for registration on May 3rd at 9:30AM during the Spring Showdown. Registration will remain open for each game until that game's bracket begins seeding.

Vending Guidelines and Rules

Vendors and Sponsors will be sent a list of rules and regulations to follow prior to the event. This will be sent through the email provided by the Vendor when confirming their purchase.

Game Overview

All people that wish to compete must register for the game of their choice. Those who pay for their registration fee do NOT need to purchase a general admission. The competitor registration counts as General Admission.

Each game has their own category which includes their purchasing link and information regarding the game. These can be found below:

General Game Rules

Failure to follow the rules per game can result in disqualification for all games.

General game rules are as follows:

  • No cheating of any kind will be permitted during the event. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Use of third-party software (aim assist, macros, or other automatic tools)
    • Modification of game files to obtain an unfair advantage (altered hitboxes, custom skins)
    • Hardware modifications (modified controllers or mice with built in macros)
    • Stream sniping or access to any unauthorized spectator feed during live matches
    • Communication with non-team members during a match (including coaches, friends, or audience)
    • Any other unfair advantage over the enemy team
  • Only one entry per game is allowed
  • Destruction of event property is not permitted and may result in a fine
  • By participating in this event, all competitors agree to be photographed, recorded, and/or live-streamed as part of the tournament experience
  • All registered competitors acknowledge and consent to the possibility of being called to play their match on stage if selected
  • Players must be present at their station or staging area within 5 minutes of being called for their match. Failure to appear may result in a forfeit
  • The use of profanity, hate speech, harassment, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may lead to disqualification or removal from the venue
  • Tampering with or unplugging other players’ equipment is strictly prohibited
  • Players are responsible for bringing their own controllers or peripherals, unless otherwise specified. Equipment must meet tournament standards and not provide an unfair advantage
  • Pausing a match without referee approval may result in a loss of round, stock, or game — depending on the severity and context
  • All gameplay disputes must be brought to a tournament official immediately after the match. Failure to report in a timely manner may result in the result being upheld
  • In the event of equipment failure or game crashes, a tournament official will determine the best course of action, which may include a restart
  • Event officials reserve the right to add or alter rules at any time during the event to preserve fairness and integrity

Super Smash Bros Ultimate

Super Smash Bros Ultimate will have a prize pool of $2,000. The prize distribution is as follows:

Cost of registration for Super Smash Bros Ultimate is $30. Day-of registration is $45.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate will follow this ruleset:

  • 1v1
  • 3 Stocks
  • Top 8 - Best of 5
  • Brackets 9 and below - Best of 3
  • Double-Elimination Bracket
  • Bring your own controller
  • No Stage Hazards
  • 7 Minute Timer
  • No items or spirits
  • Rock-paper-scissors for the pick of a starter stage or "gentleman's" agreement to start on a starter stage
  • Standard DSR (Dave's stupid rule: players are not allowed to counterpick to any stage on which they have previously won a game on throughout a set.)
  • The winner of a game will be allowed to ban three stage picks. The loser will pick a stage that isn't banned. Counterpick stages will open after the first game

Side Events

The Spring Showdown will host 4 side events. These events will be:

  • EA College Football
  • Mortal Kombat 1
  • Street Fighter 6
  • Tekken 8

The cost of entry for each event is $10 that will be paid during the event. The prizing is a $250 prize pool per game. This is broken down below:
